NELSON RIVERA the primary beach bum seen with Island Girl, is the island percussionist and backup singer. Nelson made his mark in the music scene for many years in the 70s and 80s as a bass player appearing in Hydra & Troy pop-rock groups in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; radio-play and television appearances. He later became the core-member of "Cuba Libre", latin-island group in Connecticut as bassist and vocalist which performed in New England in the 90s. He co-produced the Caribbean Madness Cruises on the Connecticut River which were sold out for 5 seasons. Nelson is now found all over Florida with his Island Girl, as the fun-spirited and lively percussionist/drummer whenever possible. He is also making guest appearences on Bickley's upcoming Nujazz & Chill CD due out in May 2009.

PAUL BOZZI from East Hampton, Connecticut, often appears with the Island Girl on larger venues such as the Lady Katharine Cruises and outdoor concert series. Paul, drummer and percussionist, Paul Bozzi – Forty years of music includes performing, touring, song writing, recording and teaching. Primarily a kit drummer, in 1990 Bozzi began working on hand drums and latin percussion. He studied African and South Indian percussion at Wesleyan University. Biggest influences are Hendrix, Miles Davis and assorted Middle Eastern musicians. Paul has performed with numerous groups - Michael Cleary Band, The Dramtix, Cuba Libre, Tune Train - among others, and is in great demand over the New England area by other artists.

MEL CORCINO born in Puerto Rico, performing since 1985 with groups in the Connecticut area - Exaudio, Hope Road, Orlando Pabellon Jazz Quintet - among many others. He was a student of the percussion department in the "Escuela Libre de Musica" in Caguas, Puerto Rico with renowned Jose "Pepe" Torres; and teaches drums at the Music Bureau in Salem, Connecticut.
